DuraAce 7900 C24-SL ; 11 speed compatible?

Anyone know if these wheels (currently with 10 spd + spacer) are 11 speed compatible?

The wheels are too old (2012 lol!) to be listed on the shimano website, shown as 8-10 spd compatible originally, but current wheels are shown as 8-11 spd.

Possibly not. Shimano were bloody stupid/want your cash when they did the 10 speed wheels.

If you had Mavic and others, the 11 speed cassette would fit fine.

Not exactly 'compatible', but there are two options to get 11-speed working:

1. Fit an 11-speed Edco Monoblock cassette with the Ten+Eleven locknut; or
2. Try machining the freehub and hub body to make room for a Shimano 11-speed cassette, as demonstrated in http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=115919

My LBS has asked the Shimano rep, no reply yet. Having read about this and looked at some solutions I think I'll just remove a friends 11 speed cassette and see if it'll fit!

Just out of interest, do you know if it's due to the width of the actual hub, or the proximity of the spokes, or wot?

The freehub is not long enough. An 11 speed hub uses a 2.85mm spacer + a 10 speed cassette - A 10 speed hub takes a 1mm spacer and a 10 speed cassette.

(proceeds to workshop with friend's 11sp cassette, places it in vice to see if it can be compressed by 1.85mm)
