Not a Chrissie present, but I bought the box set of the first three series of Sherlock when I was back in England recently. And very excellent they were, too.

Look forward to the 4th (or more) series.

Band of brothers. An excellent world war 2 series. Well worth buying it.

I've got that as well, top class.

I started watching it about a year ago and think I might still have the last episode to watch.

I've now got The Pacific, a similar kind of thing, but as the title suggests it's set in the Pacific instead of Europe.

Still got second seasons of Fargo, The Leftovers and The Strain to watch. Second half of Walking Dead starting soon and then Game of Thrones. No time for any more box sets.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Its good, but not as good as band of brothers. You really need to watch the last one :okay:

Downton Abbey (the complete set minus the last special episode) - I'd not watched it before.

Mrs ID gave me the first and second series set of 'The Detectorists', the second series of which has just finished broadcasting on BBC4. Loved it, especially without the bane of a laughter track. Beautiful subtle and gentle humour, unfortunately Toby Jones seems to have been sucked in to the BBC's 'People seem to like him so we'll get him in everything' machine.
After unwrapping it I had to point out that while I was very grateful indeed for the lovely gift we no longer actually had a working DVD player.

I got a 10-DVD history of the Tour de France for Christmas. I tried to start watching it the other day and discovered that my DVD player is faulty; it will not play any DVD that I own. Looks like time to upgrade to Blu-ray!

The wifes got the entire Friends boxset, I am finding them funnier than I remember when they were on TV.
