I used to use Sony, because I always found them reliable. Unfortunately, my local preferred shops for buying these no longer stock them, and I subsequently found out that Sony have stopped making them. I switched to online purchases of these, but appear to have left it too late, as all the online vendors show them as discontinued.
Verbatim is not an option for me, as I had a bad experience with these in the past, with some Verbatim CD-Rs ruining a DVD writer in one of my PCs. This is unfortunate, since my local shops seem to sell blank discs in almost always the Verbatim brand.
I noticed that some online vendors sell Ritek DVD-Rs. A search told me that Ritek is a long-term manufacturer of optical discs in Taiwan, although a small company (only about 3000 employees). Have any of you used Ritek DVD-Rs? Can you recommend any other brand(s)?
