Bald Eagles too.
They are surprisingly easy to see in parts of the US and Canada in my limited experience.

No the mic is extremely sensitive... apparently it's about 15 miles away from the nest

Where is hornby island?
Is it part of a train set? (actually Canada somewhere, British Columbia)
It is between Vancouver Island and the West Coast of mainland British Columbia.
Cripes, that's a good mic, 15 miles away from the nest and still picks up the noise the birds make!
Hornby Island is only six miles long. If the mic is 15 miles away, it isn't on Hornby. ( I've been there a few times.)
