This weekend's one of many taken up with swimming competitions for eldest daughter, where I become chief babysitter for little one.
Wife needs to leave with the car at 7.15 am, so last night saw me thinking that if I wake up ridiculously early as per most days, I'll have my stuff ready just incase.
4.30 am dawn chorus in the woods out back, 5 am in the saddle.
I had the tracks to myself for the first hour, no dog walkers, no horses and no one to say good morning to.... Only me and the rabbits, not even a puff of wind to spoil the 20 miles of tranquility.
