East Yorks night ride [POSTPONED]

I don't think I can spare a week night for a few weeks - so much to get done and shattered Worst time of year for me in terms of leisure time.

Off top off my head, I'm free from next Monday morning through to Thursday night.

Got out for a ride into the wolds today and apart for one section of road near Middleton all roads and hills were free of ice and snow. But this might change this wednesday so I think I'll leave a bike set up on the turbo in the bed room for a bit longer yet.

They say there's more snow on the way.

There was freezing fog last night in the Vale of York-ish, and lots of black ice about this morning.

I have a rehearsal tonight and a gig on Sunday night*.

I still haven't got that dynamo hub setup set up yet.

I'll be back when all these excuses become invalid...

I was hoping to get out into the Wolds again today, but the fog and ice has put me off, plus I hurt my back badly on Sunday and I'm in agony, once I got on my bike yesterday I was Ok but today its even worse, even the turbo won't get a look in.

More snow is expected to fall across the region later this week, as temperatures plummet again.
The Met Office expects light snow showers on Thursday and Friday, followed by heavy snow showers throughout Saturday night.
Over the next couple of days, temperatures will drop to -2C.
No severe weather warnings have been issued.

My experience at around 1pm onwards today!

19 miles - nearly gave up around the first five miles (even walked up a hill as started sliding) as the lovely scenic back roads - are lovely sheets of compact snow and black ice out of the sun & it's amazing how much is out of the sun, with some perseverance headed for busier roads with cars on, for once I was glad to see them

first ride on the road since the begining of Jan, just hope the weather improves

There was some good days last week out on the wolds but I think tomorow mornings cancelled for me anyway if temp does drop to -5 tonight as forecast this morning.

I risked the commute this morning and there were a few frozen puddles around.

There was a bit of snow around on the Wolds and coast (Filey-ish), but roads mostly clear. And it was a fantastic, clear, still sunny day yesterday.

We were walking, though.

I was walking above Pateley Bridge on Saturday and there was a fair amount of ice and snow on the higher ground.
