I'm still up for this ride having negotitated permission, i know the route (possibly have a map) though it may still be marked from the sportive.

not sure where the pub / cafe stop will be - bit i'm sure we will cope

if we do the full 100k will take abot 5 /6 hours at reasonsable pace with stopage

what do you think?

I would suggest we meet at 'Saturday Market' see PDF - near the band stand (see above) -

Good news & I thought this correct, according to webpage (& I'll check it tomorrow) free parking on Sundays - 'Pay and Display Car Parks
Monday to Saturday 8.00am to 6.00pm or 7.00pm, (Bridlington - Monday to Sunday).


I'm quite happy to start between 9 & 9:30

Just a quick question.

Is it ok to park near the common? On Newbald Road near where it joins the A 1035.

I used to park up there years ago to eat my sarnies when I had work to do in Beverley. The place still looks much the same as I remember it having just checked Google Earth.

yes it's common land, they may have some restrictions - but not sure if enforced...

Got back about an hour ago; good days ride if not quite as dry as ordered!

What a nice chap & riding partner Colly is, & definetly better than me at them there hills.

Only one p*******, also managed to avoid the heavy rain at the end of the day.

68.7 miles in 5 hours & 5 mins - though sadly no cake stop - next time we must find http://www.ramblersrestmillington.co.uk/ or a pub not far off the route

lots of other cyclists & ramblers out; chatting to a bunch of geordies finishing off their 3rd day of way of the roses.
