Eating and boredom

For 2 days I'm stuck in a shop, alone for the most part, and I keep eating out of boredom. As I'm trying to lose a few pounds I eat fruit.
Yesterday I had 4 bananas, 4 apples and 2 oranges.
Today, so far, I've had 2 apples and 2 bananas.
Is that too much or okay? Is it possible to eat too much fruit?

I'm gagging for a packet of crisps really:blush:

Most fruit contains quite a bit of sugar so not a good idea to overdose.

Bananas are very high fibre and too many can cause constipation! Or is it wind? Never quite sure!

Too much fruit can give you the runs. Up until then, doesn't cause any problems.

Fruit is quite high in sugar, but usually plenty of fibre too. High in some vitamins, but lacking others due to low fats(? is this correct?)

I've had 2 bananas, a bunch of grapes and about six mini tangerines, expecting stomach ache any minute.

OT, Rich P, just reading your tour of Slovenia CGOAB pages, looks absolutely beautiful there, lovely photos.

At work I eat two or three apples, two or three clementines, a pear, a banana and a handful of whatever is in season. Whether I'm bored or not. And that's before I start on the salad. You get used to the high fibre thing, and it doesn't have any physical ill-effects. Some people say it makes you argumentative, tendentious and patronising - but they are beneath my contempt, and I go out of my way to tell them so.

Too much fruit gives you the shoots. Whether that's a problem depends on how much you enjoy the whole pebbledash experience...

It is a wonderful country. Go there if you can!

I also had chopped grapes, strawberries and melon for breakfast. Sometimes fruit although it's lovely, doesn't quite hit the spot.
Funny how thimgs vary fro person to person, I find a surfeit of fruit turns me into a witty, interesting and discursive fellow;)

I've been in a meeting all morning which has hampered my fruit grazing considerably but yesterday, for example, I had two apples, an orange, a satsuma, a plum, grapes, strawberries, a banana and lots of raisins and mixed nuts.

I like crisps and choc but tend to save that for the weekend.

I read somewhere that bananas do the opposite to most fruits with regard to digestive transit.

I worked with a friend who'd have a couple of days a week when he'd eat nothing but fruit, he was weak for the ride home if he didn't have some half an hour before leaving.

You think so, eh? I take it your usual CycleChat persona is the crisps 'n' chocolate one, then? ;)
