Just on the HS1 out of St Panc. Train stopped at Ebbsfleet and someone actual got off the train (alighted). Why, must've been a mistake surely?

Maybe they thought the tunnel under the Thames was infact the tunnel under the Channel?

Ebbsfleet International is my local station and does get very busy although that's the HS1 side of things really. We tend to use it to travel to London because it's a quicker train, twenty minutes to St.Pancras instead of almost an hour to Charing Cross. But, expect to pay more for the privilege.
