Corruption, misogyny, a penchant for fascists... that sort of thing?
Surely he's got some bad points too?

I think that's unfair. Mr E has transformed an entire industry and built a huge TV audience, largely by his own skill and hard work. That has been to the benefit of many others, not just himself - not least the specialist high-performance car industry in England - and skill and hard work are generally considered to be admirable qualities.

Personally I would rather watch my toenails grow than watch F1, but that's not a reflection on Mr E.

It's not unfair to screenman, who had admitted that he admired Ecclestone despite knowing sweet FA about him. I'm not suggesting for a moment that the repulsive and corrupt Ecclestone is without any kind of talent or ability, but not all of his skills (such as being able to bribe governments to change their policies for his personal gain) are necessarily to be admired.

I thought that was merely an alleged skill at this point in the proceedings. Or is he already up there with Orange Tony?

Lets not forget that he was part owner of Brabham when the Fan Car was introduced.

Whilst you seem to dislike him by knowing about as much about him as I do.

If you wanted to be the person with the highest post count on this forum and achieved it I would admire you for getting what you wanted, even though I may not like your posts.

This country needs more people like him, maybe a bit here and there but creating jobs etc.
