Yup! I'm in and around Edinburgh often and there are definately more people cycling xx(. I prefer commuting in winter, nice and cool. I hate hot weather on a bike. Cycling in slush, snow or rain is no problem, but cycling on ice seems dumb to me

it's the weather mainly, you always get a massive surge of cycling in spring. Although the credit crunch may be responsible for converting one or two...e.g. http://cyclechat.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=29544

I'm one of them!

In my case, though, it's because we moved office. I used to live too close to be bothered cycling - just walked.

Zagek - don't you see people cycling to the steelworks? Or am I 20 years out of date? I used to see quite a few around with British Steel hi vis vests.

Haha, I woops! There are a lot of cyclists that go into the steelworks but unfortunately they work shifts and I do a standard 9-5, so I do see them - just not during my commute.
