I'm only at 47. Went 46 to 47 in 2023 but the 45 to 46 was back in 2019.
It's not increasing these days as my distances (even when touring) seem to be getting shorter.
I hope I don't reflect on this and make a push to 50 as it's a fair few longer rides. My distance "distribution means go 47 to 48 is 2 rides, 48-49 needs 8 rides and 49-50 needs 18 rides (rides of appropriate length)
On tour this summer my average daily distance was 39 miles. But also checked and there was one ride at 48 miles and 2 at 49 miles so maybe I'm slowly creeping towards a higher E number.

This year's (2024) Eddington Number (an annual number not my all time one) is 50. This now being 2025 my E number so far is zero. Hopefully it'll be one tomorrow......

eddington for 2024 I think is 38 miles. would I have needed another 4 at 40 or above to have got to E40

E80 Metric today.
Hope to kick on and get my Metric Eddington up to at least 83 by the end of the year.
Hopefully I'll get my Imperial up to 55 miles too.
But there's a long way to go...

E54 miles and E81 kilometres - both reached today.
Hope to get to E82 kilometres before the end of May. Then there's a big gap to E83 kilometres but with a bit of luck I'll get there in Oct/Nov.
E55 miles looks like Aug/Sept and E56 miles probably not until early next year .. but I continue to surprise myself so it might be before the end of this year.

Using the 'spreadsheet sort' method, mine appears to be 112 - my 113th ride (sorted by descending distance) being 112.79km. I'm not entirely convinced that the data is 100% accurate but I'd guess that it's there or therearounds.
No idea how I work out how to increase it though... that one's beyond the capabilities of my tiny little brain. Other than 'more 112km plus rides' obviously. Not sure that's going to happen any time soon.
