Hi, i am hoping you can help me!
My grandad has recently passed away and owned a eddy merckx bike.
I am looking for advice on where the best place was to sell a vintage bike like this?

Welcome.. Falcon Cycles bought the rights to use Eddy Merckx on their bikes to help sell them. So underneath its a very basic Falcon bike and not worth very much I'm afraid. Local Gumtree?

/\/\ This.

Local Gumtree is a good shout. And it looks in decent nick, just needs a bit of a clean. Probably get around £50 for it, perhaps more if you say it's an ideal fixie conversion.

I had one. Fun to ride, and cool to have the name of a legend on it, but nothing special at all. Gave mine to a pal when he started uni, where he got into bike polo. He was a bit embarrassed when he admitted he'd annihilated it.

Two things to know:

1. It is a basic Falcon gaspipe frame.

2. This does not mean it isn't still cool. Choppers were and are crap but everyone wants one. This is a 70s icon too.
