Ok I was thinking of getting a Edge 200 and my budget has been increased and now can stretch to a Edge Touring. The reading of the reviews on Wiggle don`t make good reading, but it has some really nice touches that the Edge 200 doesn`t have. Does anyone here have experience with the TOURING and 200

Well the main difference between the two is that the Touring has maps, the 200 doesn't (it uses what is called a breadcrumb trail. ie you follow a black line).

I've just bought a Garmin Touring and I'm very happy with it.

The maps are for the whole of Europe which was the main reason I bought it.

Battery life is not what it says on the box, the best I can get is about 10 hours

You could consider a Garmin Dakota 20 if battery life is an issue. It runs on AA batteries so you can carry spares. I bought a set of duracell rechargeable batteries for mine. The Dakota only comes with a base map of main roads but has a micro sd slot for adding maps.
