I have invented a new dish! It is delicious! I call it the Eggypea Fritter. It goes like this (I haven't got the quantities down to exact amounts yet):

1 handful frozen peas.
1/2 tin chick peas.
1 grated carot.
1 diced onion.
1 teaspoon vegetable boullion powder.
1 small handful self-raising flour.
2 eggs.

Beat together the eggs, flour, boullion powder together with salt and pepper to taste. Combine with the other ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Heat up some oil in a big pan and use a desert spoon to dollop out fritters into the oil and pat them flat with the back of the spoon. Fry until golden brown on each side. I reckon they'd be even better in a deep fat fryer, but I haven't got one.

Eat with tomato ketchup. Cheap and tasty! (basically, it's just egg batter with stuff in it, but it's good!)

Lose the carrot and chick peas, add bacon and mushrooms and you have the classic end of night / breakfast meal.
Not sure about the small handful of flour, that would be about half a pound with my hands.
Good effort though.

Sounds like a bastardised tortilla, eaten for centuries in Hispanic societies around the world.
