Electra - overpriced?

Anybody with views on Electra bikes and accessories? They are nice, but I do wonder whether they are overpriced. Made in Taiwan, the cruisers are over £200 more than Schwinn, whilst the "Dutch" style bikes are almost the same price as Velorbis and the genuine Dutch brands - Batavus, Gazelle.

I think they are a little, unless you can get them on offer at one of the mail order places. The Velorbis are beautiful & I was interested then realized how expensive they were, but for their price you don't get the glowing review that that price should expect in a recent Cycle publication (CTC magazine, can't find mine to give you the issue no)
