More wheels than sense
The Gocycles are really nice up close and the torque curves between no assistance and full level are very smooth , much nicer than the other handful of bafang etc powered bikes I've tried.

The blurb says you can only get 30+km. Doesn't look like you get much bang for your buck to me, but of course i could be wrong.

Bear in mind that the ‘normal’ Hummingbird is about £3,500 grand.

That's a brilliant piece of design. Around 30 km is pretty respectable I'd have thought.

But compared to a Brompton it looks lifeless. How did they resist calling it The Banana?

I’ve had a go on both the standard and electric Hummingbirds. I love them both. The ride is certainly not lifeless - it’s much nicer to ride than a Brompton, sharper and zippier and not as twitchy. The fold isn’t quite as compact but it has a much narrower profile when folded and this, along with the very low weight, makes it a lot easier to carry than a Brompton.
Even with the weight of the motor, the electric Hummingbird is under 10kg.
I would happily buy an electric hummingbird for the commute if I could afford it.

The Gocycle isn’t really a ‘folding’ bike though. It can be dismantled and packed for travel relatively easily but doesn’t collapse down readily like a Brompton, so you can’t use it for a train-bike commute.
