I'd like the 4x4 estate, the Scout rides a bit high for my liking
Maybe a 3 - 4 year old 2.0Tdi (150BHP), with a 6-speed manual

I know how good they are, & haven't heard a single word of dissent from the Paramedics I know that use them
YAS has them as fast response cars
I took this in 2016

Then again. my Tdi is 10 years old in June, with no real issues (I've had it almost 9 years now!)

Our local Farce binned them off and went to 2wd Octavia wagons while I was still there. Drivetrain problems with age and mileage weren't that bad, but the lack or ground clearance and low range makes the AWD fairly limited in its utility, so it turned out to be an ongoing expense with little benefit.

Double vomit!

YAS tend to treat them more as an 'All Weather car', rather than off-roader
Whilst they certainly don't have huggins of ground-clearance, or good approach/ramp/departure angles, they are surprisingly capable in grotty conditions

Granted, sometimes momentum is required

Possibly more impressive than mud, due to the power-sapping qualities of sand
