hanging-on in quiet desperation ...
My lovely neighbour who would have helped me put it together is very busy this weekend. He is a great fan of Rugby, so he will be watching the Six Nations. I do not know enough about building bikes to try it myself.

It is the same colour as Fab's though. That is "Fab" as in @Fab Foodie, not Fabian Cancellara. ^_^
To be honest, it's a very easy build and it comes with all the tools you need.

I ventured into the garage, and released my Heffalump from the box. Yes, it was easy to put together. I might still get someone to give it a quick look over, especially the brakes. I live at the top of a (small) hill, the brakes will be tested.

A friend of mine has volunteered to give me some lessons in how to ride a bicyle. :bicycle:

Excellent!
Easy does it!

Georgie said it would be easy to ride, and is low geared. The fact that it is step-through and easy to maintain is a bonus.
As it also supports employment, education and transport in Malawi, I decided this was the time to get back to cycling.
I'm certain you'll love it. It's easy to ride, stable, sure footed and practical. It weighs a ton though! Can't wait for my first shopping trip, just need to see if my current panniers fit.

You can fit a hell of a lot in the front tray alone (as the staff in Waitrose have found out).
Going for a test run this morning. Mrs FF has a cold so will drive the car as back-up!

Test success!

Ok, it's a smaller shop this week but I still had spare capacity. The old Karrimor panniers also hang on the side of the trolley which helps.
Will raise the bars and the seat a tad for a more sit up and beg position.
No food was damaged in this trip ....
