I've looked in several logical places but can't figure out what Endomondo defines as sport cycling or transport cycling. The reason I'm looking is that I've been logging my commute as transport cycling whereas in reality I'm pegging it through the countryside pushing myself hard, rather than enduring the stop-start-shout of town traffic riding.

Sport cycling 'earns' a lot more calories than transport cycling, and as I'm trying to loose weight I really need to get an accurate idea of how many calories I'm shifting in the saddle.

I wouldn't trust Endomondo's calorie stats unless you have a heart rate monitor. If I do the same ride as a chap who is of a similar size & weight it says I have burnt 1000 more calories over a couple of hours - he uses a HRM and I would assume that gives better accuracy.

I wouldn't trust endomondo to measure the correct calories you are consuming, there are too many variables and it's using a general formula.
I use the different types of exercise to track my different uses on my bikes, and this works great for me.
Cycling sport = CAAD9, Cycling transport = Gios, Mounting biking = Diamond bike.
If I log in to endomondo I can easily see that all this rain has meant that I haven't been out on the Cannondale for ages!
