How can you make endomondo last? Mine only last for 2 hours max and then my phone battery goes dead. No good for long runs. Any ideas?

There's a power save mode if you buy the full version, but that doesn't work (at all) for me. However, I found that putting the phone in airplane mode gave me a lot longer run: ~6 hours with plenty of battery left, maybe > 70% (and my phone has a tiny battery).

Btw, does anyone have low power mode working?

I have Endomondo Pro and the low power mode means it distorts your figures by about 10% so now I use an app called Juice Defender which seems to let Endomondo work fine but gives you quite a bit of additional battery life.

Not had any issues using BB curve, and that is on rides of 4 to 5 hours at times. I always make sure to disable Wifi though, because on the BB it keeps looking for it which uses up power. Other than that I use Endo free version and dont bother doing power save or autopause or any of that malarkey.

I have iPhone and I turn off 3G, data services and any apps that use location services. Turn the screen off and it should be fine. I've done two 100 mile rides which used 50% of the battery.

I got a battery charger from Lidl for 20 quid, can charge my phone 1-2 times fully and can keep the battery full if you leave them plugged together. Similar to the TeckNet thing above or the Veho Pebble.

Some phones (like iphones and my desire hd) seem to have nowhere near a big enough battery for the phone imho. Bluetooth should be off, but turning off wifi makes quite a big difference and turning off the mobile network if you dont need it helps a lot too.

I recorded nearly 4 hours of cycling today taking the battery down to about 25%.

The battery life on my mobile generally is not that great, but I’ve never had problems running Sports Tracker for over 2 hours. If you can’t sort out your endomondo battery life issues it might be worth giving Sports Tracker a quick test run.
