Hi, I’ve had a pair of these bib shorts for 6 years now & been very pleased with them.
Recently I’ve been getting a bit of chaffing, has the padding wore out now?.
thanks for any advise.

Sounds like it if you’ve worn and washed them a lot.
Sounds like time for a new pair (assuming nothing else has changed in set up, saddle, bike etc)

I use these and never needed any cream. My fat thigs rub against the saddle so the fabric goes first - padding is usually completely fine when they go in the bin.

I bought two pairs this Spring. Done maybe 6 days of 300km or more in them, so properly tested, and I'm very happy with the fit+comfort.
(I also seem to be Lusso-shaped - but their (changed) stitching has been rubbing me up in recent items, so I've had to say goodbye after a decade as a customer  )

One pair has started fraying the stitching (somewhere internal) which seems rather premature. So not a 5-star review.

Aside: there is £30 difference in price between fashionable/less-so colours at most retailers :O !!!

Yeah, that's roughly consistent with my findings a couple of months back:
