entry door knobs

well, Mom"s front door knob works it's just super sketchy. looks like at some point they replaced the interior knob but left the exterior knob from the '60s. dunno why, maybe to keep the old keys? anyway my plan is to replace both with rotating handle style inside & out. yes that means a new key but so what?

could not figure out how to remove the old knobs. watched 2 dozen you tube videos to no avail. it seems every manufacturer has their own secret way to remove their knobs, the ones w/ no visible screws. lubricated the knobs & it works easier. the Mother can open the door, but only w/ her left hand turning it counter-clockwise. her right hand can't turn it either way & her left hand can't turn it clock-wise. a professional will have to replace the knobs & or door. she would prefer a new door but that's a much bigger project
