Could I use araldite to fill a couple of surface scores on a carbon fibre fork?

If I did would it bond properly? It usually doesn't take to plastic so what about the resin and finishing lacquer?

IIRC Araldite is an epoxy resin with some fillers to adjust the setting time. Might not be totally clear, but I think there are different 'flavours'. Best to try on an inconspicuous area first.

Araldite is epoxy. But is your carbon fork built with epoxy? Other resins are available - although I have no idea whether they're ever used for carbon fibre (they are used for boats and the like).

To get epoxy to bond well, you'd normally reckon to roughen up the surface you're applying it to to give it a key. Not sure you really want to do that to your plastic forks...

I wouldnt go near the forks with anything that sharp in the solvent department.

If they are black weave pattern forks you can buff out the worst of scratch with boot polish, you have to know how to bull a pair of boots/french polish furniture to pull this one off though.
