Just had my new car insurance quote in from the broker I've been using for over twenty years and it's gone up by over 40% from last year.
Same car, same boring driver, low mileage.
Looks like a wee while with Compare the Meerkat.com and an interesting 'phone call - !

Seems to me that just having a record of swapping round at least every few years reduced the amount they want

You need to look around every year, the only loyalty I have is to my friends and family, not an insurance company!

I went about 5 years when Tesco was the lowest every year
and same for house insurance - until I noticed that they didn't cover ebikes but by then the other companies were about the same anyway

normally I change company ever year for both

BTW - do people find it cheaper to ring direct or use the comparison sites??
