Etape Caledonia Route Cleared?

Does anyone know if the Etape Caledonia route has been cleared of tacks since the sabotage incident?

Had been planning to cycle it again this summer but don't know if I could be bothered if I'm going to have to contend with umpteen punctures.

It was cleared on the day. While I don't know if it has been looked at since, the chance of getting all the tack up is pretty slim. However, it's a cracking route so worth the gamble I'd say.

It should be reasonably easy to clear the roads with a bit on ingenuity - all that would be required is a modified vehicle with a lowered front bumper to which large magnets could be applied.

Alternatively, a tractor and trailer could be adapted for the same purpose.

Any local farmers up for the challenge?

Any participants in the magnet industry?
