If making up cables then the pinouts and instructions are easily found on the web. Its a fairly easy process with some RJ45 ends and a crimping tool. Cut the outer cable 1.5 - 2" from the end, untwist the pairs, and align as per pinouts. Trim inner wires about 1/2" in length straight across. push into RJ45 plug ensuring each wire goes into each channel and up underneath the gold connectors. Then crimp.. re-crimp.. and that should be it. You should aim to crimp onto the outer jacket as 1. makes a firmer connection, and 2, means you've limited the possible interference to as short as possible on the non-twisted pairs.. I hate seeing badly made cables where theres 1/2 inch of inner wires showing outside the plug...There are always errors on them.. (Cat5 specifies so many twists per inch on the twisted pair, and even the connectors count ! )
For cable tidy I've found the stick on ties alot easier to the hammer ones [Concrete block walls] .. something similar to this.. http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=6292514
If you do need to go further than 90m then get an ethernet repeater, which boosts the signal (or plug in an ethernet switch if you've got a spare one lying around).
