I maxwell get the stack slammed, just need to ease my body into the more aggressive riding position.Lovely, too much stack though you need to get that slammedIts hard to tell in the close ups it looks like a matt finish but in the full shot it looks gloss? I am swaying towards a less mainstream bike and this has been added to the list. Did you get to ride one before buying?
It is a mat finish and is finished beautifully, a very high attention to detail was paid in all areas.
I hadn't come across Scapin before being educated in the LBS, but they make some lovely bikes, including some really interesting steel and carbon frames. They have now got a rather fetching yellow one in the shop with matching SRAM red groupset with yellow trim, they got Scapin to match to groupset colour to the frame.
I liked the fact that it wasn't mainstream and also that Scapin make their frames in Italy, rather than the Far East.
I took a leap of faith and bought it without riding it, but wasn't disappointed when I got it. The LBS made sure that I got the right bike for me and steered me away from the first bike I went in to take about as it wouldn't have fitted me correctly. They were excellent and I would thoroughly recommend them. LifeCycle UK based in Bildeston Suffolk, worth travelling to, if you're not local.
