It just came to me whilst reading the coach driver forum thread (snigger)

Cyclists DON'T hold traffic up.

It's vehicles coming in the opposite direction and stopping vehicles overtaking that holds traffic up! :becool:

It's usually the parked cars by the side of the road that are the reason that I have to ride so far out that are the real reason why the traffic behind me is held up.
That and the pedestrian refuges and other random blocks of kerbstone in the middle of the road that prevent motorists from passing me.

It's funny, that has crossed my mind before, espeially when I cycle on the long straight horrible 'A' road (I hardly ever cycle on it).

If there were no oncoming cars, the traffic would be free flow. :smile:
