I have been trying to contact Bike Express all day with no success and their web site seems to give me permanent barred access. Can anyone else check ( or has current knowledge) and see if all is well and if it is just me in some peculiar way!
Any response would be appreciated

Don't want to be scare mongering in any way. This is a genuine enquiry and I expect that all is well and I am just hitting an "information black hole"!

Which was wildly inaccurate ... A 2am pickup became 2.30am became 3.30am and eventually became an actual 6.30am. The seats are uncomfortable, the food dire and sleep impossible thanks to the pointless PA announcements every 20 mins.

Never again! If you haven't yet booked, I'd strongly recommend an alternative means of transport.

sounds like a typical long distance coach journey - what were you expecting?

I don't claim to have much experience at coach travel, but the previous journey I made was Madrid to Granada. Left on time, arrived on time, very comfy seats, free wifi, no pointless PA announcements, edible food.

Have to say that was our experience too - excellent - just one way from Monpellier to Gravesend having cycled down through France to Calais.

Just to clarify, the Madrid-Granada trip was NOT with EBE, I was just responding to Tundra's apparent suggestion that all long-distance coach travel is crap and my EBE experience was what we should expect.

Hmm...I thought they advertised themselves as providing luxury coach travel.

I've looked a their coach when it has been at the CTC rally in York and it has always looked reasonably good as coaches go.

Surprised to read those comments tbh, I booked for July on a couple of recommendations from friends who have used their service before. If they wake me up with pointless PA announcements in the middle of the night they will get told to STFU

I suppose the timing is probably excusable, road works, break downs, tardy punters at earlier drop off/ collection points they will all add up.

Luxury it ain't.

Appearance-wise, it's ok, a bit tatty in places but nothing terrible. Timing-wise, comfort-wise and food-wise is another story!
