European Tour ....now

I may be able to get away on a 2 week break from next week.

If you were going to tour Europe in the next couple of weeks, where would it be?

S Portugal, S Italy, Greece, Sardinia, Sicily, wherever Easyjet have cheap flights from an nearby airport.

no idea to be honest but pick some place where there loads of sunshine feck all wind the odd hill and loads of good quality campsites that's cheap. super smooth roads with no traffic would be a bonus.

The mecca of cycling?..Likewise im free to go on tour, southern Spain looks good but probably wouldnt camp as I understand cheap accommodation is ten a penny, Northern Cyprus is looking very good temp wise,but would be a base and cycle holiday...nice to know there are some options out there.

Done Boa Vista on Cape Verde and cycling was the last thing that entered my head ........

The Govt were given a shed load of money by several large tour operators to improve the road network...and thats all that happened, they got given a shed load of money...

Just back from Portugal. It was a £15 flight to Faro. Sunshine, deserted roads, lovely cheap hotels, great food and wine and beautiful women. What's not to like?

Madeira

nice climate, like a warm, sunny summer's day, but it is all up and down hills which range from "steep" to "you 'avin' a giraffe steep".
Driving by locals is worse than Portugal.
Madeira has excellent walking.

Ive been looking at weather forecasts for the next 2 weeks and it looks like there is plenty of rain all the way to Greece.

I was watching Real Madrid training on TV last night. They were all dressed in fleeces, woolen hats and gloves.

Difficult decisions.
