It's bbc news that are the pain in my back side. They like to tell everyone one who won the Grand Prix before they actually show the race. And like just now. I'm not staying up all night to watch the tour of California but watching it on euro sport when it's re shown. Thanks bbc news now I no who won the time trial. Oh (spoiler alert)

Mod message not fair to put a spoiler in, and this isn't really a thread where the title should have 'spoiler' in it...

I am confused about this post, the BBC news told the news, is that not what it should be doing. I cannot make out what the smiley was for.

Also for somebody who has been involved with cycle sport for about 45 years I am grateful for any amount I get on TV compared with years ago.

What I am saying is with all the tech that people have it isn't hard to be informed seconds after an Avent is finished. What I disagree with is waking up putting on the news and getting told who won somthing before getting the chance to watch it my self if I choose. Alternatively If I wake up and decide I have to know thare and then it is a couple of finger taps and boom I know. Hence bbc news tell me on Sunday morning who has won the gp and they them selfs don't run there film until two o'clock that afternoon. Is that clearer?

But this morning I woke up and as usual watched half an hour of news that told me everything I needed to know from the current state of affairs in NE Nigeria to who was leading the ToC. I've got better things to do in a morning than go looking for news

So the BBC should change the way it does news? why do you just not turn on a radio or TV or internet until you have watched it.

There that is your choice explained.^_^

Bizarrely as I type Eurosport is on schedule with ATOC highlights whilst Sky leave us guessing when they will show the Giro highlights scheduled for 5mins ago:cursing:

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Its annoying when you record the highlights and get tennis or some other sport for an hour , i mean if it were the live event it would not be so bad but im talking late nigh highlights !

Sky Sports rarely miss the start or over-run because they have an inordinate amount of 'expert analysis' before and after most things they show.

I take this back, I've just switched on Sky to watch the Giro highlights which were supposed to be on at 8 and there's tennis still going on.

I tend to Sky+ the live edit but like you get really aggro when either half an hour + of the start is something else like championship horse grooming or those silly people who like to brush ice for a big 'dobber' to hit another big dobber is recorded or the most heinous of recent Eurosport crimes was when I got to the last 150 metres sprint to the line in this years Paris - Roubaix.

As I didn't know it had done this I didn't record the repeats so I might buy the dvd now.

Devastated.
