I'm just on my way back from Brussels on the Eurostar, I arrived in Lille then cycled to Ghent and then Brussels, and sufficiently enough ticked off at the general service (plus I've 15 minutes before check-in!) that I thought I'd write an angry from Tunbridge Wells missive.

The cycling, as always, has been fab, and I am in love with Ghent. But the process at both St Pancras and Brussels zuid is awful and cyclists are definitely treated as 3rd class citizens. God help us when the new restrictions kick in on the 1st November!

I much prefer being first on/first off on the ferry.

Rant over, anyone else experienced an amazing service?

Yes - we've used London - Paris [13 bikes and 9 bikes on 2 trips], Paris - London [13 bikes] , Brussels - London [9 bikes] - no problem at all with staff or the service at Paris or London, bikes at the other end ready when we arrived - and we were only held up at Brussels checking our bikes in while the solitary staff man had to go and sort out an American dickhead who had somehow cocked up the mechanism on the nearby luggage lockers.

What the new regime with boxes will be like is open to conjecture . . .

So you suggest I box my bike up for the journey and take it as hand luggage? I think.it has to be under 85cm which is possible just
