On October 21st. Anyone doing it?

I signed up for it (the full distance) ages ago but it's come around pretty quick:biggrin:
I've not done a sportive before so I'm not sure what to expect. How does it usually work? Should I get something through the post (a number etc) or just turn up on the day?
Should be no problem taking a bike on the train on a Sunday morning, right?

Check that there is no engineering work scheduled on the line, sometimes trains are replaced by buses on Sundays and this can cause problems carrying bikes.

Well that was fun! And hard. Did the 85 miles in 5 hours 24 mins (gold was 4 hours 55 mins). It was hillier than I thought and I didn't pace myself too well as my speed dropped alot for the final third (even though it was the flattest bit). Pretty pleased for my first sportive though, and I'll be checking the calender for some others to enter!
Sooooo cold at the start too. I couldn't feel my feet or face for the first hour or so!
My saddle sores have flared up again though so I'm off the bike (until they're fully healed this time):sad:B)
