I've been given a huge tub of the stuff and I'm wondering if I can use it for cycling; I've got enough to last the entire TDF peloton for a year.

Blimey - that must be worth a few bob - £11.41 / 100 g!

According to Wikipedia...

Shea butter is used as a base for medicinal ointments, and has been claimed to have anti-inflammatory properties.

Shea butter has been claimed to be effective treatment for the following conditions: fading scars, eczema, burns, rashes, severely dry skin, dark spots, skin discolourations, chapped lips, stretchmarks, wrinkles, and in lessening the irritation of psoriasis.

Sounds like it might come in handy!

Shea butter is an incredible moisturiser and I use it all the time for a variety of places (somehow that sounds rude).
