No thanks ,I mean just look at it - dust caps! uurgh

As you were Pete, they are off now, I hadn't checked the pressures when I took the picture. I do realise what a faux pas that is, I will go and stand in the corner with my hands on my head, my old bike has never seen a dust cap in its life. On the same theme, the Ribble wasn't supplied with a bell or reflectors - I will have to get onto them about that.:?:

Dan Corbett just said it will be dry around these parts tomorrow morning - so it's an early night for me, and I'm just off to lay out the new red/black jersey and socks I bought to go with the bike.

Be thankful for the rain. 1/2 the joy is the anticipation. Just ogle it for now. You prob. won't in 5 years from now when it's got stretch marks and gained a bit of weight...the odd grey...

And what's wrong with dust caps exactly? Is this some sort of Northern practice; you know makes you like well 'ard or summat?

All that extra rotating weight makes a huge difference to the acceleration due to the increased inertia, and leaving them on marks you out as a beginner. I know some say having dust caps makes no difference, but they are the same ones who don't believe that plucking your eyebrows helps smooth airflow across your face, saving 0.05s over a 25 mile TT

Anyway, the sun is out and my breakfast has settled, so it's on with the lycra, sling some allen keys in my back pocket and it's off to tweak Rebecca.
