Picked up my new bike yesterday: Specialized diverge sport. To say I'm excited about getting out tonight is an understatement!

It's replacing a second hand carerra (can just be seen in the background), which has served me well (got the value out of my £50 outlay!)

Had a good go round the car park when picked it up and it's going to take a bit of time to get used to the different gear shifters, and the disk brakes, but it's a gorgeous ride.

Got out for a 31 Mile ride last night, mainly roads, but with a few gravel tracks on the NCN. Overall impressions are that it's a smooth ride, and lots of fun off road. I don't know whether it was the bike, the almost bald tires,or my lack of trust in the carrera, but the specialized performed much better on the rough.

I had to stop to do some minor adjustments after about ten miles to move the seat back and remove the awful reflectors from the wheels, but I'm now very happy with it.

Might try to sneak out for a cheeky mid week ride one evening

Once you've got used to it, it would be worth fitting some really decent tyres as I don't rate the budget tyres that come on Specialized bikes.

What would you recommend as a replacement?

Or perhaps what would you look for in a tyre?

The mini handles really well, though it's a single speed
Ive got the same one but in red as that is the fastest colour.

Nice looking bike. Enjoy!!
