The S60 has a night vision feature.

Not really night vision, its a thermal camera - shows hot/cold rather than letting you see in the dark. I still want one though - would be good for detecting electrical faults in switchboards.
I've now got a Chinese tough smartphone, really impressed with it so far, even though its massive.

See, I don't want internet, Facebook, integrated bum scratcher. I want to make and receive the occasional call from the top of K2 or the bottom of the Challenger Deep and know my phone will work.

Been put to some odd uses, by the videos alongside.

Not denying it can be used for night vision, but its not an image intensifier which makes most of any available light (sure you know that).
To me the FLIR is intended as a tool, which happens to be in a tough phone. I've used a stand alone one quite a bit for electrical inspections and I find the idea of one affordable enough to be built into a phone amazing. First one I came across needed the shoulder of a big bloke to carry it!
