Hi all, just joined so thought i'd say hello

Long story short... sporty kid who then spent the next 20-odd years smoking and drinking, getting older/fatter/very unfit. Decided enough was enough and took up running last year, along with occasionally cycling to work (ie once every 3 months lol). Got the old bike out of the shed recently and have well and truly got the bug, even managed 26km the other day, by far the most i've ever done

Hi and welcome a good choice on getting the old bike out the shed only thing was you did not say just what or how old it is (some of us on here quite like the older machines lol)

Haha, not quite that old... i have a Raleigh airlite300 which i bought 5 or 6 years ago and has not been touched for the last 4 until last week! I also have a Trek hybrid of about the same age which i will be using for the commute once i get some new tyres for it next week (the road bike is a bit uncomfortable with a very heavy rucksack on after a 12hr shift ;) )

off to the local bike shop after work tomorrow for tyres for the hybrid, also going to see what they have in terms of rack and panniers, seems a lot easier than carrying the rucksack every day  Are most racks a universal fit, frame-wise?
