i knew the bbc were getting ridding it, but big surprise C4 is taking it over and not ITV, it was awful on ITV last time, wonder how C4 will get on, i always enjoyed the BBC coverage, refuse to pay for SKY coverage as from what ive seen of it, despite having brundle etc, its awful!

I wonder if Lewis Hamilton not making top three in SPOTY is a reflection that many people are turned off from F1 these days. The decision not to do business with Ecclestone may be a sound one if it is a sport in decline

i must admit as a huge motorsport fan, i've lost interest in F1 and only watch the highlights, much prefer to watch indycar or the aussie v8's

eddie jordan i could do without, but i rather like the other 2

My favourite (aside from The Legend that is Murray Walker) has been Martin Brundle. I'd love to see Lee McKenzie as the new presenter, she's got a great way with those she interviews and is very knowledgeable about the sport.

F1 has become increasingly predictable and dare I say, even boring.
We had Ferrari / Schumacher dominating for ages, then Red Bull / Vettel and now Mercedes / Hamilton, with the occasional season in between when there has been a genuine challenge from someone else.
I have Sky Sports F1 as a "legacy" package on Sky (it's no longer available) and even there, I've started just watching the highlights shown later on the BBC as it's become increasingly difficult to justify 2 to 3 hours on a Sunday watching a processional race where the only racing for position is between 6th / 7th 8th and most of the action is in the pits. Plus the Sky coverage is a little bit like an old boys club in the paddock with only Ted Kravitz as a redeeming feature.

It's unclear what C4 will bring to the party, but it looks like we're set to see the return of adverts during the race which almost inevitably will coincide with the odd moment of action on the track (how many times did that happen on ITV?).
