Faggin update.

Finally got the Sachs Huret sorted out and installed on the bike ! Just been for a trial ride ......what can l say that probably hasn't been said before? This machine is so "light on its feet" as it were but just feels so secure at the same time. It is hard to believe that it is over 30 years old.
The only thing that is a bit of a shame is that at some point a 7speed cassette has been fitted, resulting a fair bit of wear on the chainring when in lowest gear. A challenge for the future l guess.

Of course....l wear a hat and dark glasses, oh yes and cycling gloves . You can't be too careful these days

I was hoping you wouldn't ask ! I may as well get it over and confess that l have taken to wearing proper cycling shorts with a padded bit in
the appropriate place! And no matter what my previous attitude to such apparel was, l am converted....just so comfortable. There you are then another MAMIL or to be more accurate SOFIL...(silly old fool in lycra)
