I like fair weather cyclists - it means that for around 2/3rds of the year the cycle shelter is only half full meaning us folk that don't mind getting wet don't struggle for places ^_^

I quite lost the love this afternoon coming home from work in 2c sleet.. All the school kids and dopey parents were in the way and it was all a bit RARRRRRRRR.

I've had a few run ins with idiot drivers in the last few days. Some really appalling, dangerous driving and I'm getting close to the point where someone's going to get my D lock through their window. No wonder no one apart from us hardened lot cycles in this feckin' horrible country.

Nope not me. Can't remember when I used my wife's car last.
More than 3/4 of the commute is cycle track, and the roads I do used are not bad at between 0630 & 0700 - 1940 & 2015

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I commute with the Risk vs Rewards ratio in mind. Once the risk exceeds the rewards I look at other commuting methods.

No point playing a hero for the sake of it.

Just leaving on one of my occasional fair-weather commutes now. The weather doesn't look too good though
Just home from a rare car commute, warm, dry and home in a third of the time it takes to cycle, this may catch on

In between here and there
I try my best to not use the car because I cannot stand the supercilious look on my colleagues faces "oh you came by car today eh?" No shoot Sherlock. I much prefer the shocked look on their faces "you came in by bike today?"
I also hate it when I see my regular commuting comrades manning it up while I sit in traffic in the car, and then hate sitting in the office wishing I had cycled.

I draw the line at Snow. Last year I lost 6 days due to weather, and 8 days so far this year.
