Something that is seriously getting on my nerves is companies advertising fake RRP prices, then advertising a huge discount to make you think you are getting a bargain.

Er - can't you just ask yourself whether you want it at the price on the ticket? Everything else is irrelevant.

The goods are supposed to have been on sale at the higher price for a certain minimum time before the special offer. If not, they are breaking consumer law.

I don't really shop in Sports Direct, they are very bad ad the fake RRP game so I don't like giving them my custom.

This is the connected world, you can check a price for any item anywhere, I just think they are playing a stupid game. If I check a price and they have made up the RRP to make it seem like you are getting a bargain I won't shop there because I feel they are dishonest.

I don't think that's true for RRP, only for saying that it's a discount on the normal price in the shop as the manufacturer is allowed to recommend what they like but the shop doesn't have to sell it at that. Otherwise Sports Direct would have been hauled in over about 90% of their inventory.

The problem with Sports Direct is that a lot of their brands are exclusive to them so its difficult to compare prices. I agree that they appear to hugely inflate the RRP on goods but as said before if the new price seems fair then I will probably pay it.

My last two 'sitting around jumpers' as i call them came from SD .Just two jumpers to wash up in or do housework, or drop my dinner down them.£9 each or two for £14 better than ruining my M&S jumper.I had a mooch around all the stores before i alighted in SD,Made more sense.Mind you their baggy cycling shorts were crap,
