Not the point, you could ride 100 miles without a cafe stop. However, @cybernight rides in a group and they stop at cafes.

Indeed they all like to have sausage baps etc plus a couple of coffees sometimes , I was limiting myself to toast as a cheap option, most are around my age so kids have left the coop or a lot younger with no no kids so have more disposable income. Group rides were my only social interaction as I'm Billy no mates .

If you get back out with them shortly after Christmas it'll be a good time of year to say you're a bit short of cash after Christmas and so you've brought your own. You might find that a couple of others will be glad of the excuse to join you.

My whole cycling life has never involved one single coffee stop. My rides have never been that long that a good breakfast can't fuel me for the duration. And maybe have a bit of something in my pocket too.

But I get that coffee stops, especially if you're with some buddies, are part and parcel of a lot of riders journeys. This cost of living crisis is biting hard.
