What are the rules regarding the proximity of declaring a celeb being a neighbour - same road ?

Back in 1987 I lived in The Bishops Avenue for a few months...

People lived there then? I thought it was all owned by Saudi's for investment now.....and either empty, or being completely rebuilt. Mind it's a year or two since I cycled up/down it.

I live close to Nick Newer, occasionally see him in the village shop or being ferried around in his Bentley. Warren Clarke lived nearby too and would chat, but he's sadly passed away now.

My dad's ironmongery shop was next door to Youngs Cycles on Lee High Road. I lived in the flat above the shop for a while and once went boat fishing with Ernie Young, off Southend, and caught a bigger Skate than he did.

I used to share a garden fence with Buzz Hawkins of 'The Bradshaws' fame. I've still got the fence and he hasn't!

A friend at uni whose real name was Biggs later found out that the English lady who had been living next door was also named Biggs (Mrs R. Biggs).

I used to live at the bottom of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh - had quite a famous woman who used Holyrood Palace as a holiday home in the summer.

She was quite friendly too - always waved when she went past in her car!!

Well well well,my Daughter has just moved in very close by.

Used to live round the corner from Alan Kilby (the wrestler from Saturday afternoon telly, unusual because he's deaf and often had a translator). Also at one time or another lived within a few 100 yards of Sean Bean and Richard Hawley...

Tenuous link alert, Lesley Garret's mum lived just down the road from my Dad.

Edited to add: my grandad used to work in the officers mess at RAF Lindholme near Thorne and Garret herself briefly worked there doing the washing up.

While were on the subject of tenuous links to celebrity, Paul Daniels also used to live around Epworth/Isle of Axholme where I'm from and he once had to give way to my sister at a mini roundabout

Its a hot bed of A-listers around there come to think of it. One of the Chuckle Brothers used to live in Belton down the road from my sister, and I may be wrong but I think Ian Botham used to live in Epworth.

And how could I forget, Sheridan Smith went to my school and was in my sisters year. I remember when I was in year 7 she was in some school production (she would have been in year 11) dressed as a cat (it could well have been Cats) and we all thought it was a waste of time.

Edited again, re-reading this, if you want to learn about celebrities local to where I grew up, you really want to talk to my sister, all my celeb knowledge is decidedly second hand.

Edited yet again: I do have one personal link to the golden and glittery world of celebrity. I once received an award from Geoff Capes in his capacity as President of the Budgerigar Society. He bloody loves his birds does Geoff.

Humphrey Lyttleton used to live in the old vicarage in our Cambridgeshire village and Joe Bugner not far away either.

I was at school with the Unthank sisters in the north east and never knew it.
