Following CoG's revelations about his colleague, let's start a thread about famous school pupils.

I went to school with Warwick Davies, the famous dwarf, he was about 7 years older than me, but even then was much shorter.

Joe Strummer was also a former pupil but he left well before I arrived. The school never made a big deal out of this, probably because he wasnt their idea of a model pupil.

James Naughtie went to my school as did Braveheart fitba player and Scottish captain Colin Hendry

Ian Rush, my hero and Anfield legend.....Always choked when I talked to him on one of his trips back to the school
One of the lads in my dad's work - big factory in Liverpool - did a huge oil painting of Ian Rush and it was presented to him before he left for Juve.
It had to be huge to get his nose in.
He was made up and my dad who was handy with a camera was asked to take pics of it so Rushy's family could have copies. Few weeks later my dad got lovely letter of thanks from the man himself. Lovely bloke. True legend. Appalling handwriting.

Levi Bellfield
Although he's probably as infamous as he is famous.
A few people I went to school with are doing time for murder. One of my childhood friends actually made the press for killing another childhood friend in a pretty horrific manner and going on the run.
Think I personally know about five people doing time for murder, which is pretty worrying

FFS.
If his initials are TB then we went to the same school. I'd have gone with Geoff Miller or Bob Wilson (anchorman) though...

I went to primary school with Kevin pressman ex of Sheffield Wednesday, didn't know him at the time though.

We were famous for a School Club - Not persons.

We had the St Ivo Entomology and Natural History Society, which was at that time a massive animal collection owned and looked after by the School with everything from Stick insects and mice / rats tht other schools had to Tarantulas, Iguanas, Pythons, Boa Constrictors etc. There were specially built temperate, tropical and "normal" rooms.

We used to exhibit the animals all over the place from School's exhibitions to London Zoo and the Natural History Museum. Visiting other schools to give talks and exhibitions was another feature,
We used to have licences from the "MInistry" and go abroad each year to collect our own specimens!

As a kid though tit was brilliant to be part of an internationally recognised organisation. Contributing locusts to research groups for study, being on speaking terms with the likes of Gerald Durell, the Newmark brothers and David Attenborough were brilliant!
