We were taught pies in School!

The Science and Cookery teachers go together and started a "Cooking for Students" course on a Wednesday afternoon to ensure we had basic skills. Four of us went n to do the Domestic Science O Level!

Worth it as an extra and it was always a talking point on CVs and a interviews

Greg Hands MP was best mates with my little brother, and often round our house. He showed no signs of being a Tory then, sad really.

i can understand why... there's nothing gansta about finding one's mojo whilst staying with one's aunt in Morecambe.

edit...

American rapper BUSTA RHYMES, real name Trevor Smith, visited Morecambe as a teenager to stay with his auntie. The story goes that young Busta stole a pair of trainers from Hitchens on the promenade, but his aunt told him to go back and own up to the theft. At his relative's insistence, the future million-selling global superstar was then punished by being forced to mop the entire Hitchens shop floor!

Eric Idle - but he hated the place and refused an invitation to go back. In an unrelated interview he said that what he remembered most about his schooldays was little boys having their bottoms spanked. It would probably be classified as child abuse these days.

I was at school, and played footie with, Steve Ovett.

Was he any good at football? I always liked him much more than other runner bloke Tory boy Coe...Ovett was much more well cool...i hope you're not going to tell me he was a complete prat or something?
