Ohhh.. just watched with sound....
:blush: I must admit, I shocked myself with how aggressive I appear to be! I'm not normally like that, but drivers in general cause me to swear quite regularly (I have to curb it when in the car - kids in the back - so it tends to come out on the bike! :o)).

Only 1 fault....... you should have out sprinted the car........;)
I deliberately pulled up alongside him to see if he was actually concentrating on anything else rather than his driving (a phone perhaps?) but it just seems he was oblivious to everything around him.

What was the traffic speed on that road? Is there a gradient? Big gaps between cars makes me think it was more than a few mph, but they don't look like they're actually moving very fast.

I'd probably have done much what you did, tbh, but that may be because sometimes I tend to prize momentum over absolute safety. The driver was dozy/selfish but not especially so by the usual standard of drivers. It looks like you identified the hazard a long way off and were prepared to take evasive action (pulling alongside him), and as he's a taxi he's probably got enough driving experience that he won't be unduly fazed by having a cyclist on his offside briefly. Some drivers would: they'd panic and slow right down

this bit about overtaking on the pedestrian crossing, what parts of the crossing does it actually mean? looking over the footage the point where sharky went over the orange part of the crossing there were no other cars on it at the time, just either side of it.

It's the zig zag section.

Lol - well the fool was parked about 2m from the actual traffic light on a crossing right outside a School. I know you shouldn't park there... didn't know you couldn't overtake there though (so I guess technically we were law breaking this morning when we filtered past the traffic at any lights!! Shame on us, Tharg! )

I certainly wouldn't filter that fast in the middle of the road. In London you'd almost certainly slam into some pedestrian wandering across the road without looking or a car turning right or possibly someone in the queue on the left letting a car from a road on the left cut through the traffic, 1st thing you know is a bonnet emerging from behind a bus and you go flying.

I've seen moves like that taxi's loads of times here in London, either they can't judge the speed at which you're approaching or they just don't give a crap that they're getting in your way. I usually swear at them too, it's just plain stupidity.
