The Ducks I ride past seem to be getting bigger and fatter every year.
Over feeding them doesn't seem to be doing their health any good, but I know people just love feeding them.

Some seem to be too fat to bother with migrating.^_^

"The Countryside and Wildlife Act 1981 makes it an offence to intentionally kill, injure, or take any wild bird. There are exceptions, however, laid out in Schedule 2 of the Act, so that outside the close season, you can take Tufted duck, Gadwall, Goldeneye, Mallard, Pintail, Pochard, Shoveler, Teal and Wigeon. With the exception of Mallard and Tufted duck, you'd be unlikely to find many of those species on your average duck pond. It's much more likely that any duck you'd find there would actually be domesticated and in the case of these ducks, you are likely to run up against the Theft Act 1968. s.4(4) of the Act states that it is theft to take an animal that is "tamed" or "ordinarily kept in captivity" (and that is the property of someone else)"
