Pah, what do they know? Actually I do think the flying sequences were a weak point but I'm sure he'd do them differently now.

Gilliam wouldn't have the budget these days as no one dare give him any money. His latest film (The Zero Theorem) cost about £6 million

I think they are all in Repo Man, Miller explaining cosmic unconsciousness & time travel to Otto is a great scene but "John Wayne is fag" made me laugh.

Yes... I'm looking forward to it. Although I've failed to get to the end of ...Dr Parnassus on both occasions I've tried to watch it, and Tideland wasn't much to my liking either. Hopefully it'll be a welcome return to form.

Oh, I loved both of those. In fact I don't think I've ever seen anything of Gilliam's - film, documentary, interview - that I haven't liked and admired.

I still think the Fisher King is his best.

The only one I can find not great quality, the flying sequence (Spinner ascent) in Blade Runner where Gaff takes Deckard from the noodle bar to see Bryant.



Hit Girl killing drug dealers in the film Kick Ass to the theme tune from The Banana Spilts by The Dickies. It just worked really well.

I agree, but I think it ties for first place with "The Adventure of Baron Munchausen". John Neville sadly died in 2011.

I grew up watching this film every Christmas and when I had kids we did the same , its funny how a film can make you feel but IMO this was a work of genius
